DESCRIPTION:This event commemorates the International Day of Peace.\n\nSpeakers 
 include:\n\nKathy Kelly is co-coordinator of Voices for Creative 
 Nonviolence, a campaign to end U.S. military and economic warfare, and has 
 worked in Afghanistan as a guest of the Afghan Peace Volunteers.  She has 
 traveled extensively bringing aid to victims of war in the Middle East and 
 elsewhere.\n\nProfessor Stephen Zunes is an American international 
 relations scholar who specializes in Middle Eastern politics, U.S. foreign 
 policy, and strategic nonviolent action.  He is on the faculty of the 
 University of San Francisco and recently returned from areas of 
 conflict.\n\nBoth speakers will update us on the volatile situation in the 
 Middle East and explore ideas on how we can all participate in the journey 
 toward justice.\n\nRefreshments available at minimal cost.  Wheelchair 
 accessible.\n\nSponsored by Unitarian Universalists for Peace & Justice-San 
 Francisco, Voices for Creative Nonviolence, and Campaign Nonviolence.  
 Donations will benefit the educational projects of the sponsors.  The 
 sponsors focus on public educational efforts related to peace and justice 
 issues in the United States and in countries abroad, always advocating for 
 nonviolent tactics and diplomatic and legislative strategies to attain 
 their common goals.\n
