 for Immediate Release,\n\nAt the beginning of the last week the Islamic 
 State (then known as ISIS) terrorist state captured Yezidi's sacred city of 
 Shinjar/Shengal.  IS has been brutally executing Yezidis by the thousands, 
 raping women, kidnapping and murdering children of Yezidi faith and 
 terrorizing the indigenous people of the area.  It is also reported that 
 1,500 Yezidi, Christian and Shabak women and girls forcefully have been 
 taken for Jihad marriage, and slavery. Today ,in this failed state of Iraq, 
 IS is spreading the poison of hatred and brutality. Since Yezidism is not 
 an Abrahamic religion, a death of a Yezidi by the hands of an ISIS militant 
 is deemed to be the holiest and most rewarding prize.\n\nAlmost 50 000 
 people have tried to escape the terror of IS by climbing the local 
 mountains yet they remain exposed to searing heat and a perilous odyssey. 
 \n\nIt is very clear that Iraqi state neither can nor feel obligated to 
 protect it's own citizens specially if they are Yezidis, Christians, Kurds 
 or any others that are not like them. It is also very naive to believe that 
 the next government of Iraq will do any better where it's all predecessors 
 did bring nothing but destructions, pain and suffering! \n\nIt's also has 
 been proven that Kurdistan region has shown to bring freedom, peace, 
 prosperity, democracy to it's citizen regardless they are Kurds, Shias, 
 Sunnis, Yazidis, Christians, Shabaks, Kakais, Armenians or Turkmen. 
 However, Kurdistan region had been denied to acquire weaponry to protect 
 it's border since helping to topple Saddam regime in 2003. Unlike Kurds 
 though, the Islamic State  acquired remarkable equipment upgrade as the 
 Iraqi government’s roughly 30,000 soldiers abandoned their bases, leaving 
 behind a massive cache of US-supplied armored vehicles and heavy weaponry. 
 \n\nThese merciless terrorists bolstered with very advanced weapons are 
 wrecking havoc on the defenseless people of the area. \n\nWe are pleading 
 with the people of United States to not remain silent. Please promote to 
 your congress person that Kurds should not left on the mercy of failed 
 Arabic Iraqi state(s). They should not be denied defend themselves. Kurds 
 should not be the victim again to cement another dictatorship in Iraq. 
 Kurds should be allowed to determine their on destiny.\n
