DESCRIPTION:PLAY ASKS AUDIENCE TO NAME KILLER\nPoetic Justice Project will present its 
 interactive murder mystery, IN THE KITCHEN WITH A KNIFE, in San Luis Obispo 
 and Santa Maria June 13 and 14. The play asks audiences to decide which of 
 three men killed Telly, an inmate who worked in the kitchen. There are 
 three possible endings, depending on how each audience votes.\nWritten by 
 Deborah Tobola and Dylan O’Harra, and directed by Leslie Carson, IN THE 
 KITCHEN WITH A KNIFE features poetry by Jorge Humberto Nuñez Medina. It 
 was performed recently in Santa Cruz and on Alcatraz Island.\nThe only 
 theatre company of its kind in the state, Poetic Justice Project features 
 casts of formerly incarcerated actors in theatre that examines crime, 
 punishment and redemption. Based in Santa Maria, Poetic Justice Project is 
 a program of the award-winning William James Association, which provides 
 arts instruction to people on parole and probation, prisoners, and youth at

 IN THE KITCHEN WITH A KNIFE: on Friday, June 13 at 7 p.m. at the Grange 
 Hall, 2880 Broad St., San Luis Obispo and on Saturday, June 14 at 7 p.m. at 
 Unity Chapel of Light, 1165 Stubblefield Rd., Santa Maria. Performances 
 will be followed by an audience talkback.\nTickets are $20 for general 
 admission, $15 for students and seniors, and $10 for groups of 10 or more.

 Paper Tickets, 1- 800-838-3006, or at the door. Due to occasional strong 
 language, may not be suitable for younger audiences.\n
