DESCRIPTION: \nEviction Free SF to join national public interest groups at Google
Headquarters Annual Shareholders Meeting\n \nWho: Eviction Free SF\nWhat:
Protest at Google Shareholders Meeting\nWhere: Charleston Park near
Shoreline Blvd, East of Hwy 101, Mountainview, CA\nWhen: 1pm at Google
 Headquarters, Mountainview\n \nMountainview, CA\n \nOn Wednesday, May, 14,
Eviction Free San Francisco and the tenants of 812 Guerrero, fighting
eviction by Google’s lawyer, Jack Halprin, will join a group of national
public interest groups at a rally at Google’s annual shareholder event in
Mountainview, CA. This event Jack Halprin bought the building recently,
and after initiating an Owner Move-In Eviction on a first unit, and a
questionable, possibly unlawful Domestic Partner Move-In on a second unit,
has moved to displace the rest of the tenants with the Ellis Act.\n \nThis
protest is following the google bus block and march demanding Jack Halprin
withdrawal the eviction.\nThe tenants of 812 Guerrero’s goal is to raise
awareness, within Google, of the unethical behavior of their employee, and
to demand they take responsibility for his behavior - requiring him to
withdraw the eviction.\n \nGoogle Claims to adhere to the values of
community involvement and preservation (in its own words) core value: “9)
Google cares about and supports the communities where we work and live.\n·
We encourage and enable our people to support local community
involvement and expect them to participate.”\n \nWe hope that Google will
acknowledge that Mr. Halprin’s behavior is antithetical to this core
value, and in fact undermines and damages the very communities they purport
to care about.\n \nIn addition, Mr. Halprin is removing 6 units from the
rental market, an action that others like him have repeated many times
across San Francisco in recent years. This actually contributes to a
shortage and rising cost of properties that Google itself would wish to be
available for new employees coming to the Bay Area.\n \nTiming: Rally at
 Google Headquarters, 1pm.\n\n#DontBeEvil\n
