 22nd. St., San Francisco\n\nAbout the readers/performers:\n\nBich Minh 
 Nguyen's latest novel is Pioneer Girl. Short Girls, a novel, was an 
 American Book Award winner in fiction and and a Library Journal best book 
 of the year. Stealing Buddha's Dinner, a memoir, received the PEN/Jerard 
 Award from the PEN American Center and was a Chicago Tribune Best Book of 
 the Year and a Kiriyama Prize Notable Book. Nguyen's work has also appeared 
 in publications including The New York Times and the FOUND Magazine 
 anthology. She has also coedited three anthologies: 30/30: Thirty American 
 Stories from the Last Thirty Years; Contemporary Creative Nonfiction: I & 
 Eye; and The Contemporary American Short Story.\n\nAriel Gore is the editor 
 & publisher of the Alternative Press Award-winning magazine Hip Mama and 
 the author of eight books. Her latest, The End of Eve, chronicles her years 
 spent caring for her dying mother. The memoir has been called “Terms of 
 Endearment meets Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? Ariel Gore’s previous 
 books include the bestselling Hip Mama Survival Guide, The Mother Trip, 
 Oregon Book Award finalist Atlas of the Human Heart, Whatever, Mom, The 
 Traveling Death and Resurrection Show, How to Become a Famous Writer Before 
 You’re Dead, and Bluebird: Women and the New Psychology of Happiness. 
 She’s also edited half a dozen anthologies, including Breeder, The 
 People’s Apocalypse, and the LAMBDA-award winning Portland 
 Queer.\n\nJuliette Wade has appeared in Clarkesworld and several times in 
 Analog magazine, where her most recent story, "The Liars," was illustrated 
 by Michael Whelan (Oct 2012 issue). She has turned her studies in 
 linguistics, anthropology and Japanese language and culture into tools for 
 writing fantasy and science fiction. She lives the Bay Area of Northern 
 California with her husband and two children, who support and inspire her. 
 She blogs about language and culture in SF/F at Talk To Yo Universe, and 
 runs the "Dive into Worldbuilding!" hangout series on Google+. Look for her 
 next in the July/August issue of Analog!\n\nDavid Winter is the author of 
 the poetry chapbook Safe House (Thrush Press, 2013). His poems also appear 
 in Atlanta Review, Union Station, Four Way Review, and For Some Time Now: 
 Performance Poets of New York City. In 2011, he founded a sliding-scale 
 Creative Writing Intensive in partnership with SAGE (Services & Advocacy 
 for Gay Elders), and he currently teaches writing at The Ohio State 
 University.\n\nBaruch Porras-Hernandez is a writer, performance artist, 
 organizer, actor and storyteller based in San Francisco. He has performed 
 all over California, Washington D.C., NYC, and Canada. His writing has been 
 published in numerous anthologies, he regularly organizes poetry shows in 
 the bayarea, and is currently the curator and head organizer for The San 
 Francisco Queer Performance Series. Mr. Porras-Hernandez has performed as 
 an actor most notably at CalShakes, Magic Theatre, Word for Word and 
 Shotgun Players. As a performance artists he has performed at CounterPulse, 
 SoMa Arts, The Garage and Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. He is a 
 recipient of the Queer Cultural Center Grant for the Arts and Galeía de la 
 Raza’s Regen Artist fund. He premiered his first solo show Reasons to 
 Stay on the Ground at the Garage Art space in 2010, and has previewed his 
 solo work at spaces like The Marsh and MamaCalizo's Voice Factory. He holds 
 a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre Arts from Sonoma State University. He 
 was born in Toluca, Mexico and grew up in Albany, California.\n\nAbout 
 Writers With Drinks:\n\nWriters With Drinks has won numerous "Best ofs" 
 from local newspapers, and has been mentioned in 7x7, Spin Magazine and one 
 of Armistead Maupin's Tales of the City novels. The spoken word "variety 
 show" mixes genres to raise money for local causes. The award-winning show 
 includes poetry, stand-up comedy, science fiction, fantasy, romance, 
 mystery, literary fiction, erotica, memoir, zines and blogs in a 
 freewheeling format.\n
