stories of remarkable courage, compassion and determination, while
uncovering the forgotten life of Raphael Lemkin - the man who created the
word "genocide" and dedicated himself to enacting an international law to
help prevent mass atrocities. Inspired by Samantha Power’s Pulitzer
Prize-winning book, A Problem From Hell, WATCHERS OF THE SKY takes the
viewer on a provocative journey from Nuremberg to The Hague, from Bosnia to
Darfur, from criminality to justice and from apathy to action. With
dazzling animation and footage from Nuremburg to the Sudan, this film
profiles the heroes who found their purpose in bringing justice to the
powerless. Moving and uplifting for all ages.\n\n Winner of the 2014
Sundance Film Festival Special Jury Award for U.S. Documentary, this film
artfully blends historical footage, reenactment, and animation. \n\n“An
impressive and artful cinematic thesis of palpable substance.” –
