DESCRIPTION:Hike weaving in and out of the burn area of the Station Fire with local 
 naturalists, sponsored by the non profit group Redbird, open house and 
 workshop space available free at Chilao School, and opening celebration at 
 USFS Chilao Visitors Center with artist Allan Roman Reyes, Smokey Bear and 
 live animal exhibits.  Newcombs Ranch restaurant is open and serving 
 breakfast until 11:30 AM, located 1/8 past the Visitors Center on Highway 
 2.\n\nHike is mild to moderate with no steep inclines or climbing, along 
 Silver Moccasin Trail.  This is one of the regions from which many of the 
 images form the Forest Recovery Project come.  Wear sunscreen or hat, 
 sturdy shoes, bring a light jacket, water and your camera.  Elevation is 
 5,200+ feet.  The Chilao School open house will provide refreshments and a 
 place to stage people who want to skip the hike and enjoy the forest
