DESCRIPTION:Women and supporters will speak out on Wednesday, January 22nd to answer 
 the Walk for Life West Coast banners. WFL posted banners in downtown San 
 Francisco, saying ABORTION HURTS WOMEN. Our response: The false statement 
 on the WFL banners misleads women and need to be removed by the city of San 
 Francisco. \n\n Last week Supervisor Campos introduced a resolution at the 
 San Francisco Board of Supervisors meeting opposing the ant-abortion \n 
 rights rally and the false statements about abortion. The Silver Ribbon 
 Campaign to Trust Women wrote a letter to Mayor Edwin M. Lee \n saying the 
 Abortion Hurts Women banners contain a false and hateful statement and 
 called for the banners to be removed. Mayor Lee \n rejected the Silver 
 Ribbon’s request. WORD (Women Organized to Resist and Defend) is also 
 speaking out to defend women’s reproductive \n rights. \n\n This speak 
 out is about much more than pro-life banners on the streets of San 
 Francisco, it is about a women’s right to choose what happens \n to her 
 body. The landmark 1973 Supreme Court ruling in Roe v. Wade was the first 
 nationwide guarantee that women could terminate unwanted or unhealthy 
 pregnancies. The ruling was a victory for the women's. Come join us on the
