 known for her strategic approach to legislation and advocacy. Her career 
 has included directing a battered women's program, working for the NOW 
 Legal Defense and Education Fund,  for the Older Women's League and being 
 legislative aide to Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney (D-NY).\n
