 Francisco\n\n\nAbout the readers/performers:\n\nRichard Kadrey's new novel 
 is Dead Set. He also writes the Sandman Slim novels, and is the author of 
 Butcher Bird and Metrophage.\n\nMelissa Pritchard's new book is Palermino. 
 Her previous books include Late Bloomer, The Odditorium, Serene of the 
 Spirits and The Instinct for Bliss.\n\nCheeming Boey's new book is When I 
 Was a Kid. He does the daily webcomic I Am Boey.\n\nScott Poole is the 
 house poet for Live Wire!, a show on Oregon Public Broadcasting and other 
 NPR stations. His books include The Sliding Glass Door.\n\nNeelanjana 
 Banerjee is co-editor of Indivisible: An Anthology of South Asian American 
 Poetry, and was included in CNN's list of Young People Who Rock. Her poetry 
 has appeared in Prairie Schooner, The Harper Collins Book of English Poetry 
 and elsewhere.\n\nKate Willett has appeared in SF Sketchfest and the San 
 Francisco Comedy Competition. She is the host of a weekly radio show, 
 called The Mission Position on radiovalencia.fm. She’s also the 
 co-producer of the weekly Mission Position show in Lost Weekend Video’s 
 famous Cine Cave, Comikaze Lounge, and Comedy at Deluxe.\n\nAbout Writers 
 With Drinks:\n\nWriters With Drinks won "Best Literary Night" from the SF 
 Bay Guardian readers' poll six years in a row and was named "Best Literary 
 Drinking" and "Best Literary Hour" by the SF Weekly. And it was namechecked 
 in Armistead Maupin's latest Tales of the City novel. The spoken word 
 "variety show" mixes genres to raise money for local causes. The 
 award-winning show includes poetry, stand-up comedy, science fiction, 
 fantasy, romance, mystery, literary fiction, erotica, memoir, zines and 
 blogs in a freewheeling format.\n
