 death of Nelson Mandela, the U.S. government and the corporate media have 
 heaped praised on him as a man of "peace and reconciliation." Intentionally 
 left out is Mandela's heroic leadership of an armed struggle against the 
 white supremacist Apartheid system. President Obama has called Mandela a 
 "giant of history." But history shows that the U.S. government was a 
 staunch supporter of Apartheid. Until just a few years ago, the U.S. State 
 Department had Mandela, a hero of the liberation movement, on its list of 
 terrorists.\n\nWhat is the real history of struggle against Apartheid South 
 Africa? What role did the U.S. government play in this history? What was 
 Cuba's contribution to the anti-Apartheid struggle? What are the 
 contradictions of Mandela's legacy and of South African society today? Join 
 us to hear presentations by PSL members and veterans of the anti-Apartheid
