 outraged that 50 million people will have access to health care starting in 
 2014.\n\nPresident Obama and the Democratic Party could have made an appeal 
 in recent weeks for millions of people to go into the streets and protest 
 against the imminent mass layoff of workers. But instead, they gave 
 progressive-sounding speeches while cutting funding for programs that serve 
 poor and working people in their own budget proposals.\n\nJoin this 
 community forum to hear a socialist analysis of the government shutdown, 
 the war on poor and working people, and how we can fight back.\n\n2969
