DESCRIPTION:COPINH is a indigenous defense group who has been working intimately with 
 the Lenca community of Rio Blanco Honduras. They have been fighting against 
 the construction of a dam that was planned and contracted without their 
 consent, a violation of ILO Convention 169. Since the road blockade began 
 in April 2013, one person has been murdered, one kidnapped and many injured 
 by the Honduran military. COPINH is now facing trial for illegitimate 
 charges to further silence and repress the community. We are standing in 
 solidarity with the indigenous struggle in Rio Blanco and with COPINH.
