 9am-5pm \n\nStakeholders, Gatekeepers, Activists, Community Members and 
 Students! You are invited to the first training on Institutionalized Racism 
 in Santa Cruz County.\n\nSanta Cruz County is known for its liberal 
 atmosphere and agricultural abundance. However,this community has had a 
 lengthy history of racial injustice and discrimination from the 
 anti-Filipino riots in 1929 to the ongoing \npolice harassment of Latino 
 and Black youth. \n\nSCCCCOR focuses on exposing and addressing systemic 
 racism found throughout the county institutions, especially within the 
 sectors of education, law enforcement, and immigration. This training has 
 been created to raise awareness about systemic and institutionalized 
 racism, as well as to provide the tools needed to end the oppression. 
 \n\nTraining and Discussion Topics:      \nUnderstanding the different 
 forms of  racism\nCreating the language of  “race”         \nTaking 
 next steps to new knowledge\nStrategies for practical racial 
 healing\n\nBreakfast\n and lunch will be provided. Due to the amount of 
 content and active \nparticipation, we are limiting the amount of 
 participants, so register \nA.S.A.P. Together we will make a positive 
 difference!\n\nTraining fees range from $20 to $50 and are determined on a 
 sliding scale based on organizational budget or individual income.

 \ninstitutions,\n especially within the sectors of education, law 
 enforcement, and \nimmigration. We seek to alleviate the 
 sometimes-unintended consequences \nof policies, programs, and procedures 
 that sometimes disenfranchise \npeople. We do this through education, 
 community building, and raising \nawareness through the individual group 
 and community level. This \nworkshop is the core of this transformational
