DESCRIPTION:The purpose of this event is to empower women in the Sacramento community 
 through the use of art and storytelling. The reception will feature artwork 
 by and photography of local women in their struggle for equal 
 rights.\n\nThere will be multiple workshops prior to the reception where we 
 will provide canvas, posterboard, paint and other materials for women and 
 girls to work on and craft a creative piece, and then this event will be 
 the reception for the finished work.\n\nWe are also going to have a silent 
 auction for other artwork made by local artists. We're trying to raise 
 funds to acquire an office space so that for future meetings, forums, 
 workshops, etc we can have a space of our own.\n\nWe *do* take debit/credit 
 cards, so cash is not a limitation!\n\nPlease join us!\n
