DESCRIPTION:Come along on a free walking tour exploring San Francisco social movements
in the context of Gaia theory. \n\nIn Gaia theory, all beings, including
humanity, are aspects of an inextricable web of relationships birthed by a
creative spirit investing the universe, but especially Earth. In this
light, social movements are manifestations of the impulse to connect in
equality of siblinghood. As children of mother earth, self-described
distinct groups of people strive to assert their co-equal progeny status
relative to other groups of people.\n\nThis walking tour takes up specific
stories--The Mormons, the Black Panthers, native Americans, the Filipinos
under American control in the 20th century, the adherents of People's
Temple, and more--in illustrating the common search for equality of access
to Gaia.\n\nThe walk is free, and what's more, $10 will be donated by the
Henry George Historical Society to both KPOO and Indy Bay for every
attendee of the walk!\n\nFor more information, visit
