DESCRIPTION:FREE 10th Annual Festival features some of the finest world music artists 
 who call the Bay area home. Performances are offered in Telegraph Avenue 
 cafes and shops, near UC campus, as well as the People’s Park concert 
 (1-6 pm), sponsored by Amoeba Music. Visitors are encouraged to pick up an 
 event map and schedule at the information booth located on Telegraph Avenue 
 at Haste Street.\n\nPeoples Park concert opens with West Coast sensation 
 Tri Tip Trio (Zydeco / Cajun / Blues) followed by international star MC 
 RAI’s Arabic urban-folk fusion. Baraka Moon, with Sukhawat Ali Khan and 
 KPFA’s Stephen Kent (on didjeridu) headline with ecstatic Sufi riffs. 
 \n\nTelegraph venues feature acclaimed lead performers. Singer \nMelanie 
 O’Reilly opens w/ Gaelic music, followed by Tim Rayborn (medieval/world 
 folk). Vukani Mawethu fills the Berkeley Art Museum’s courtyard w/ So. 
 African harmonies. \n\nTelegraph’s music stores host Afro-Cuban Jazz 
 Cartel (Latin Jazz /Salsa) & Dogon Lights (Psychedelic Afro-Fusion). 
 Moe’s Books provide a backdrop for Jeff Whittier’s classic No. Indian 
 flute. Cafes offer LES GWAN JUPONS (Caribbean Folk-Jazz), Georges Lammam 
 (Arabic violin) & Agapi Mou(Greek music). Along the street is Sadza Marimba 
 & Mbira (Zimbabwean Dance Music), Michael Masley (World Kalimbalom) & 
 fiddler Rebecca Salvidge (Celtic & American Roots). This musical feast + 
 world crafts fair (Noon- 6pm), offers something for everyone! \n\n
