 interested.\n\nThe Alliance for Retired Americans and the AFL-CIO are 
 calling a national day of action against any cuts to Social Security, 
 Medicare, or Medicaid.  \n\nOur most precious and popular social programs 
 – Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid are under attack – and not 
 just by the far right.  President Obama, along with Democratic leaders, are 
 proposing huge changes – from the Chained CPI (which is a cut, changing 
 the way the COLA is calculated), to increases in Medicare premiums, rate 
 reductions for Medicare and Medicaid providers, and even raising the 
 beneficiary age for Medicare and Social Security.  THESE CUTS MUST BE 
 STOPPED.  Actions across the country will involve making human chains to 
 break the chained CPI and other cuts to our essential programs. \n\n Many 
 of you/your organizations have been involved in petition drives, phone- in 
 days, legislative visits, media campaigns and more to have your voices 
 heard against these cuts.  But we need to do more.  It is time to put our 
 feet to the street.\n\nPlease come to the SF Bay Area planning meeting: 
 Wed., May 29th, 10 AM.\nDorothy Day Community, 54 McAllister St in San 
 Francisco (at 7th and Market). \nTake BART or MUNI to the Civic Center stop 
 and go to 7th and Market then walk ½ block north on 7th and you will  be
