DESCRIPTION:Join us for a walk through El Polin Spring, one of of the Presidio’s 
 native restoration sites to view how humans can participate in repairing 
 and replenishing a watershed in San Francisco - resulting in a rich 
 diversity of plants and birds. We’ll talk about some of the plant species 
 you might come\nacross in the spring that can add some zest and nutrition 
 to your plate, as well as flowers and herbs traditionally used to make 
 medicinal tinctures or teas, and how birds and other pollinators interact 
 with the flowers and shrubs. We’ll also discuss the geologic and 
 aesthetic history of the Presidio\nand how you can get involved in on going 
 restoration efforts.\nWHAT TO BRING\nGood walking shoes, layers to keep 
 your warm or cool as necessary. Tap water in a reusable water bottle and 
 to-go ware to sample some pre-prepared wild foods. Cash or Check for $25 +

 gate by Jackson St. We'll be walking down to El Polin Springs and ending at 
 the Inspiration Point parking area.
