DESCRIPTION: Root Division proudly presents New Growth 2013: Coming Up Color, an 
 exhibition of artwork made by students and instructors in our Youth 
 Education Program. The opening reception, held on the second Saturday from 
 4-7 pm, is free and open to the public.  It will feature live performances 
 by several Bay Area youth organizations and throughout the evening there 
 will be free hands-on art activities for the whole family, including live 
 screen-printing, face painting, and plenty of free healthy snacks & 
 refreshments onsite.  Bring a shirt to print on or buy one at the 
 event!\n\nThe exhibition features creative endeavors in painting, 
 sculpture, drawing, and mixed media made by elementary, middle, and high 
 school students in our Youth Education Program accompanied by artwork from 
 our artist-instructors. In addition, we will have Open Studios during this 
 event, where many of our artist studios will be open to the public, 
 offering visitors of all ages the opportunity to view the spaces as well as 
 the completed and in-progress works by the 18 artists in our Studios
