 massive assault on the Palestinian people in Gaza, a tiny strip of land 
 packed with 1.7 million people, 80% of them refugees. More than 170 
 Palestinians were killed, 1,200 wounded and much of Gaza's infrastructure 
 destroyed. On the Israeli side, there were 6 killed and 240 wounded.\n\nTo 
 hear U.S. officials talk, one would think it was the other way around. But 
 despite their obscenely pro-Israel rhetoric, Washington was fearful that a 
 new Israeli ground invasion of Gaza might provoke rebellions in Egypt, 
 Jordan and other neighboring Arab countries. For those reasons, U.S. 
 leaders pushed for a ceasefire.\n\nWhat lies ahead? How can justice be 
 achieved for the Palestinian people who have been driven from most of their 
 homeland?\n\nSyria: Imperialist Intervention Intensifies\n\nImmediately 
 following the November 6 presidential election, U.S. leaders and their 
 allies initiated new measures to overthrow the Syrian government. In 
 typically arrogant imperialist style, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton 
 announced that the Syrian opposition needed a new leadership, which was 
 then organized. Stepped up military, financial and other aid began pouring 
 into the Syrian rebels seeking to overthrow the independent government in 
 Syria.\n\nWhy is the U.S. seeking “regime change” in Syria?\n\nJoin for

 que esto fue al revés. Pero, a pesar de su retorica obsesamente 
 pro-Israel, Washington tenia miedo de que una nueva invasión terrestre 
 israelí de Gaza pudriera provocar rebeliones en Egipto, Jordania, y otros 
 países vecinos árabes. Por estas razones, los lideres estadounidenses 
 empujaron para poner fin al ataque.  \n\n¿Qué queda por delante? ¿Cómo 
 se puede obtener la justicia para el pueblo palestino quienes han sido 
 empujados fuera de la gran mayoría de su patria?\n\nSiria: Intensifica la 
 Intervención Imperialista\n\nInmediatamente después de las elecciones 
 presidenciales del 6 de noviembre, los lideres estadounidense y sus aliados 
 iniciaron nuevas medidas para derrocar el gobierno sirio. En manera típica 
 de arrogancia imperialista, la Secretaria del Estado Hillary Clinton 
 anunció que la oposición necesitaba nuevo liderazgo, que luego fue 
 organizado. Un incremento en ayuda militar, financiera, y de otros tipos 
 comenzó a darse a los rebeldes sirios que buscan derrocar al gobierno
