 Goals\n\nAs a community and as a state, we have ambitious targets for 
 reducing the emissions that cause global warming. But what will it actually 
 take to achieve those targets? What strategies and actions will make the 
 biggest differences? What role must our community play?\n\nJoin climate 
 change leaders Timothy Burroughs, City of Berkeley Climate Action 
 Coordinator, and Wade Crowfoot, Deputy Director, Governor's Office of 
 Planning and Research and former Director of Climate Change Initiatives to 
 Gavin Newsom, as they provide the latest analysis of the path to 
 2050.\n\nAbout the Presenters: \n\nIn his role as Climate Action 
 Coordinator at the City of Berkeley, Timothy Burroughs engages the 
 community and the City government in the design and implementation of 
 effective greenhouse gas emissions reduction and climate adaptation 
 strategies. Timothy led the development of the Berkeley Climate Action 
 Plan, which was adopted by City Council in June 2009, and manages the 
 implementation of the plan.Before working for the City of Berkeley, Timothy 
 worked for a non-profit organization focused on assisting cities throughout 
 the nation to develop climate action strategies. He has also worked for the 
 U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Climate Change Division, and served as 
 a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer. Timothy lives in Berkeley with his wife, son, 
 and three beehives.\n\nWade Crowfoot joined Governor Jerry Brown's 
 administration in May 2011 where he serves as Deputy Director of the 
 Governor’s Office of Planning and Research (OPR). He works to advance the 
 Governor’s renewable energy goals and ensure strong land use planning 
 throughout the state. Prior to joining Governor Brown’s Administration, 
 Wade served as Regional Director for the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF). 
 In that role, he led EDF’s 40 western regional staff and worked with 
 leaders throughout California to establish and implement key 
 climate,\nwater and oceans policy. He also served as senior environmental 
 advisor to San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom. There, he advanced landmark 
 energy, transportation and waste policies and managed the Mayor’s state 
 and federal environmental agendas. Mr. Crowfoot has held senior-level 
 positions for other elected officials and worked in the fields of public 
 opinion research and urban economic development.\n\nTime: 	7pm -
