DESCRIPTION:Have you ever seen a gray fox in your backyard or on a hike? The California
gray fox is one of the most unique and hardy mammals that inhabit this
region. In fact, they've been on the planet for over 6 million years! Join
us at the EcoCenter to find out more about these beautiful animals from
specialist gray fox researcher, Bill Leikam. Participants will enjoy a
short presentation and Q&A session with Mr. Leikam, see research equipment
that helps scientists observe and better understand gray foxes, and we'll
finish with a short guided walk in the Baylands. Recommended for ages 12
and up.\n\nBill Leikam has studied the behavioral characteristics of the
California gray fox in local habitats such as the Don Edwards San Francisco
Bay National Wildlife Refuge and the Palo Alto Baylands Nature Preserve.
\n\nReservations are recommended. For more information or to RSVP, contact
 Eric at (650) 493-8000 ext. 345 or Eric@EVols.org.\n
