 opposite the Ferry Building at the bottom of Market Street.\n\nPolitical 
 discourse in the commons!\n\nInformation, education, discussion & 
 community!! \n\nTopic:  Is capitalism obsolete?\n\nJerry Mander, a writer 
 and activist for over thirty years, author of "The Capitalism Papers:  
 Fatal Flaws of an Obsolete System",  "Alternatives to Economic 
 Globalization:  A Better World is Possible"  and "In the Absence of the 
 Sacred: The Case Against the Global Economy" will speak and help lead the 
 discussion on September 10th.\n\nWe will discuss whether the breakdown of 
 the current system is inevitable, how permanent war and the destruction of 
 democracy are intertwined within corporate capitalism, and what the 
 economic alternatives are that respect the carrying capacities of the
