DESCRIPTION:This year's Task Force on the Americas annual dinner celebrates Mexico and 
 the five Latin American countries who gained independence from colonial 
 Spain on September 15 and 16 in the first quarter of the nineteenth century 
 and honors those social movements continuing to struggle for social justice 
 and independence from the US.\n	Award-winning Marin musicians Jon and Reed 
 Fromer will perform songs of activism and solidarity.\n	The guest speaker, 
 Lisa Sullivan, is the SOA Watch Latin America Coordinator and lives and 
 works in Venezuela. Lisa has led several Task Force-sponsored delegations 
 to Latin America, often with Fr. Roy Bourgeois, and has introduced 
 participants to many high-level national figures, as well as leaders of 
 popular social movements.\n	Dinner is $50 per person; a vegan option is
