DESCRIPTION:Mayor Don Lane will discuss a variety of issues and take relevant questions 
 from the group, which is open to all.  Next door is the homeless meal run 
 by Father Joel Miller (who former Mayor Cynthia Mathews was unable to 
 evict).  \n\nFor those interested in homeless issues (not the primary focus 
 of Lane's presentation probably), you can actually get the real 
 on-the-ground under-the-gun story from homeless people themselves in the 
 next room. \n\nBruce Bratton tells me that it will be a low-key 
 lecture-type event with some room (at the discretion of Lane) for 
 questions.\n\nSome of the subjects to be covered will be City Council 
 procedures, pensions after politicians leave office, Council decorum,

 recently been invited to publicly discuss claims of disability 
 discrimination out at the Homeless Services Center (which I call the 
 Homeless Lack of Services Center).  \n\nSo far he has declined to follow 
 through on a promise to publicly answer questions.  Lane has been invited 
 to appear on a panel on Community TV next week, but seems to have backed
