DESCRIPTION:Adult education in California is under tremendous attack and the complete 
 elimination of adult schools is a possibility if we don't act vigorously to 
 defend them.  On June 12 educators and students from L.A., Oakland, Santa 
 Clara, Berkeley, Oakland, Campbell, and other areas will converge in San 
 Mateo for a press conference/rally to inform the world that Gov. Brown's 
 current budget plan includes proposals  that would destroy the source of 
 education for millions of adults, youths, the unemployed and the retired 
 poor.    People need to know that what is going on with adult education is 
 part of a drive to  privatize of all education.  We need to denounce and 
 defeat this latest maneuver by the power to undermine vital social
