DESCRIPTION:We will be closing a photo exhibit on the ongoing Egyptian Revolution, 
 "Stand Your Ground... The Sun is Rising" with a book reading from Egyptian 
 author Hoda Rashad! \n\nCome JUNE 11 to hear more about the ongoing 
 Revolution, ask questions, and hear excerpts from Hoda Rashad's book, 
 "Rising From Tahrir" about the spring 2011 uprising.\n\n***\n\nPhoto 
 Exhibit Statement: Shadi Rahimi\n\nI spent seven months in Egypt witnessing 
 a generation resist for ideas that had shifted from concept to demand: 
 Freedom. Justice. Equality. Democracy. I'm sharing a selection of moments 
 to take you beyond the headlines to feel why some are sacrificing it all 
 for a different tomorrow.\n\nThe title of this exhibit is inspired by a 
 slogan spray-painted with a boy tossing a tear gas canister. The boys on 
 the front lines are the subject of our documentary - Boys of the Bullet - 
 which all photo sales will help fund. Donations also collected for Egyptian 
 nonprofits aiding the injured and documenting events on the

 Rashad is an American/Egyptian dual national and has been an English 
 language teacher and curriculum consultant for the past 12 years. Prior to 
 the revolution, Rashad operated a humanitarian organization NIYAA (National 
 Institute for Youth and Adult Activities) in Egypt.\n\nDuring the 
 revolution, Rashad was involved with people at the forefront of the 
 protests. During the days of the occupation of Tahrir (Liberation) Square, 
 she wrote a non-political blog under the pseudonym Salma Mokadem, reporting 
 on the dramatic events that were taking place as they occurred 
 (www.egyptsliberationlive.blogspot.com). She began working on this book 
 shortly after President Mubarak abdicated his presidency in February of
