 Fillmore Summer Fest Kick-Off\n\n“Grilling in the ‘Mo”\n\nWhat:  SAN 
 FRANCISCO -- The Village Project, in collaboration with the Bayview YMCA, 
 Hamilton Recreation Center, and IF/X Productions present its 5th annual 
 “Summer Fest Kick-Off.  “Grilling in the ‘Mo” will jump start a 
 summer of free concerts and festivals to be held in the historical Fillmore 
 Jazz District, including the city’s Juneteenth Celebration (June 16-17), 
 The San Francisco Black Film Festival (June 15-17), The Fillmore Jazz 
 Festival (July 7-8) and the Fillmore’s 2nd annual Reggae Festival 
 (September 2nd). This free family bar-b-que will also celebrate the start 
 of a summer of fun and enrichment programs for the community’s youth.   
 There will be plenty of food & live entertainment, featuring the Adrian 
 Costa Blues Persuasion Band, Soul Mechanix Rhythm & Blues Band, the soulful 
 sounds of Augusta Lee Collins, The Village Kids Chorus, the Hamilton 
 Recreation’s line dancers, DJ  spinning oldies jams to get you up & 
 dancing, along with kids’ jumpers, & family activities for all - young 
 and old.\nAdrian Williams, the Executive Director of the Village Project, 
 is renown for her community commitment and family productions, including 
 this year’s “A Senior Moment”, the 6th annual city wide Kwanzaa 
 Celebration (Dec. 26 – Jan 1) and most recently, Mardi Gras San Francisco 
 Style/ Fat Tuesday in the Fillmore held on February 21st.  She is the 
 founder & Executive Director of The Village Project; a youth service 
 organization focusing on education and cultural enrichment for youth and 
 their families in the Western Addition.  “I believe that these family 
 events help to strengthen and unite our community, along with promoting a 
 safe and enriched summer for our youth.”   The Village Project will 
 sponsor its 7th all day Summer Enrichment Camp, from June 11th – August 
 3rd for youth 6 to 14 years old.\n\nWhen:  Saturday, June 9, 2012; 12 Noon 
 to 5 p.m.\n\nWhere:  Hamilton Recreation Center, 1900 Geary @ Steiner\nThis 
 year’s “Grilling in the ‘MO” community partners include: The 
 Bayview YMCA, San Francisco Recreation & Parks, IF/X Productions, Planet 
 Fillmore Communications, Renaissance Parents of Success, Gussie’s Chicken 
 & Waffles, Bumzy’s Cookies, Bi-Rite Market, St. Cyprian’s Episcopal 
 Church, Miyako Ice Cream, Northern, Park & Richmond S.F.P.D, & Teri’s 
 Creation and Boutique.  A special thanks to Episcopal Charities and Kaiser 
 Permanente for supporting the Village Project’s Summer Camp. This event
