 to Greet PG&E\nShareholders Next Week\nPetition with 3000 signatures 
 against Smart Meter Opt Out Fees to be Presented\nPacific Gas and Electric 
 (PG&E) is a company with a long history of\nexchanging public health and 
 safety for private income and profit.\nThis is more true than ever before, 
 after the preventable and\ndeadlycatastrophic explosion hit San Bruno, the 
 nightmarish risks of\nnuclear power and climate change, and the 
 catastrophic effects of the\n"smart grid" which has hit communities all 
 over California hard- in\nthe checkbook, decimating our privacy, risking 
 national security,\ndamaging our health, and risking deadly fires. Then 
 they charge us a\nfee to "opt out."\nWho's really in charge here 
 anyway?\nOn May 14th, PG&E's shareholders will hold their annual meeting at 
 the\ncompany's downtown SF headquarters to hear about their 
 increasing\nprofits at our expense (17% increase in quarterly profit).  
 Tired of\nthe threats, intimidation, extortion and abuse?  How much more 
 will\nyou take California?\nIt's time to TAKE BACK OUR POWER from corporate 
 greed.\nIt's time to TAKE BACK OUR POWER from PG&E.\nVoge Smith, who 
 started a petition demanding that PG&E drop the opt\nout fees, will attend 
 and present her petition- which is expected to\nhave over 3000 signatures 
 by Monday.  Stop Smart Meters! will also\npresent a list of nearly 400 
 people who are pledging to refuse to pay\nthe fees.\nProtest outside and 
 let your voice be heard- if you are a PG&E\nshareholder, go inside and 
 confront management with the crimes they\nare committing.  We need to MAKE
