DESCRIPTION:Join the Town of Danville in the Village Theatre Art Gallery Friday, April 
 20 to celebrate Earth Day. The event, Earth Day Arts, begins at 11:00 a.m. 
 and goes until 5:00 p.m. This is the second year the town has hosted this 
 event in conjunction with the art gallery to showcase green-minded artists 
 and educate the community about the sustainable practices that are used in 
 their work. \n\nThis will be the final day to view Linda Colnett's Trees 
 from Trash sculptures from the last exhibition Branching Out. This will 
 also be the only day to view the artwork of local Danville and Alamo K-12 
 students who created a poster for the Earth Day Poster Art contest with the 
 environmental theme of "Our World, Our Community." A reception honoring the 
 finalists will be held at 4:00 p.m. For more information regarding the

 - 12:00 p.m.\nMake a recycled tree collage puzzle with Bay Area artist 
 Linda Colnett, featured in the Branching Out exhibition.  \n\n1:30 p.m. - 
 3:00 p.m.\nFilm screening of Manufactured Landscapes in the Village 
 Theatre; this 90-minute, Non-Rated, documentary raises some significant and 
 sobering questions about the impact that we, as humans, make on our 
 environment.  \n\n3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. \nJoin Shimmer Jewels, artist 
 Amanda Emery, in creating a one of a kind recycled jewelry project. Bring 
 an old T-shirt or article of clothing to make your own braided fabric 
 bracelet!\n\n3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. \nWatch local art instructor Jean 
 Cernigoj, create a mosaic piece using old dishes and broken 
 treasures.\n\n4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.\nA reception honoring the finalists 
 from the Earth Day Poster Art contest will be held.\n
