DESCRIPTION:Join us for our new monthly film screening and discussion of
animal-friendly and eco-friendly films covering topics such as animal
protection, animal behavior, humane education, the human-animal bond, and
environmental issues. Screenings will be followed by a discussion of the
film and a delectable vegan potluck.\n\nOur first screening will be held on
 March 17th, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m and will feature Rebecca
Allison Sansom's documentary about rabbits, Equal Hoppertunity.\n\nAs
Sansom describes: "This documentary is rated "R" (for rabbits). The film
takes a look at the most misunderstood pet of them all, the domestic
rabbit, and the people who love them. It also delves into how we treat our
pets, by enforcing existing animal rights laws, and taking responsibility
as a pet owner, because we can't always trust the well meaning pet store
workers, as we see in the film. Some guerrilla style film-making,
animations, and the bunny crusaders make this documentary a sobering
comedy, you'll laugh, cry, and hopefully learn something new."\n\nHosted by
House Rabbit Society's Rabbit Center in Richmond. Suggested $5 donation to
support rabbit rescue, but no one turned away for lack of funds. Please
also bring a vegan dish to share for the potluck!\n
