Satisfy your palate with a myriad of eclectic delectable eats, from homemade cookies and ice cream at Bumzy’s Cookies to chicken & waffles at Gussie’s, with Yoshi’s Japanese and Rassales & Sheba’s Lounge’s Ethiopian cusines in between.\n\nThe four day celebration begins Saturday February 18th, with a free kick-off concert in the Fillmore Plaza, featuring The Jah Summit Band (Reggae). The Mardi Gras Masquerade Ball at the West Bay Conference Center is the crown jewel of Fat Tuesday, February 21, featuring Bobby Webb’s Smooth Blues Band, with a guest performance by Ziek Carter. There will be a free pre-ball concert at the Fillmore plaza from 5pm to 7 pm, street artists and performers and a final festive processional to the ball, where you will enjoy an evening of New Orleans style food, dancing to a DJ, costume contest, raffles and plenty of partying. \n\nTickets: individual $35 individuals & $60.
