 $5-20.00\n\n\nThe 2012 Battle will feature a Homemade Healthy Dinner and 
 Dessert. Revolutionary Beats n Flows, Music n Shows-\n\nand our Ancestors 
 Glow\n\nOn a day normally equated with cutesy hallmark cards, flowers and 
 candy, challenge your partner (or future partner) to a battle of spoken 
 word, hip hop, poetry and/or flowetry in the ring! Singles welcome. If you 
 don't have a partner, we'll hook you up.\n\nThis year’s theme will be a 
 1950’s lounge – with both singers, poets and hip hop artists \n\nTo be 
 a music or poetry contender wit yo beatz, flows or sho sign up on-line by 
 emailing deeandtiny@ poormagazine.org. Each Contender pays $10.00 to enter. 
 Winners work will be published in the San Francisco Bay View and POOR 
 Magazine\n\nAll proceeds go to support POOR Magazine, a poor 
 people-led/indigenous people led, arts organization dedicated to providing 
 revolutionary media access, arts education and advocacy to communities 
 struggling with poverty and racism locally and globally.\n
