 CSC.\n\nAbout the readers/performers:\n\nGuest MC Mary Van Note is a 
 stand-up comedienne of the weird variety. She performs at colleges, clubs 
 and festivals across the country and she is the creator and star of the 
 award winning Independent Film Channel web series The Mary Van Note Show: 
 Gavin Really Wants Me. The San Francisco Bay Guardian called her a 
 “Zine-Queen Comedian” as she regularly makes zines, crafts and 
 mini-comics.\n\nThomas S. Roche’s debut novel is The Panama Laugh, a 
 science fiction zombie apocalypse about viral media, military contracting, 
 and LOLZ. He's written regularly for Techyum.com, TinyNibbles.com, 
 Night-Bazaar.com, Gothic.net, GettingIt.com, WriteSex.net, GoodVibes.com, 
 13thStreet.com and many other websites.\n\nJustin Chin is the author of 3 
 books of poetry, all published by Manic D Press: Bite Hard (1997); Harmless 
 Medicine (2001), a finalist in the Bay Area Book Reviewers Association 
 Awards; and, Gutted (2006), which received the 2007 Thom Gunn Award for 
 Poetry by the Publishing Triangle. Squeezed in between these were 2 
 non-fictions: Mongrel: Essays, Diatribes & Pranks (St. Martins, 1999), and 
 the ur-memoir, Burden of Ashes (Alyson Publications, 2002).\n\nSarah Fran 
 Wisby's book Viva Loss was published in 2008 by Small Desk Press. Recent 
 work can be found in Eleven Eleven Journal and Rumpus Women Volume 1, and 
 heard on Invisible Cities Audio Tour #2: The Armada of Golden Dreams. 
 She’s also been published in Instant City, Sparkle and Blink, Digital 
 Artifact, and The Encyclopedia Project Volume 2, F—K, for which she was 
 honored to write the entry for fuck. She was a Literary Death Match 
 champion in December 2010.\n\nCharlie Jane Anders is the author of Choir 
 Boy (2005) and the organizer of Writers With Drinks. Her stories have 
 appeared at Tor.com and Sex For America: Politically Inspired Erotica. 
 She's had stories in The Best Science Fiction & Fantasy 2009 and 2011 and 
 Best Lesbian Erotica 2010. She has a story forthcoming in The Year's Best 
 SF Volume 17. She blogs at io9.\n\nChelsea Martin is the author of 
 Everything Was Fine Until Whatever, What I Want and What I Want and The 
 Really Funny Thing About Apathy. She wrote a short film called Junior Prom. 
 The Rumpus called her "a happening waiting to accident."\n\nDiana Turken 
 was born and raised in Los Angeles, Ca. She is currently working on her MFA 
 degree in Poetry at Mills College. She likes to write about railroad 
 barons, cowboys, and Californians. She is a cable news junkie, a basketball 
 fanatic, and makes her own biscuits from scratch. She lives and works in 
 Oakland.\n\nAbout Writers With Drinks:\n\nWriters With Drinks has won "Best 
 Literary Night" from the SF Bay Guardian readers' poll six years in a row 
 and was named "Best Literary Drinking" by the SF Weekly. The spoken word 
 "variety show" mixes genres to raise money for local worthy causes. The 
 award-winning show includes poetry, stand-up comedy, science fiction, 
 fantasy, romance, mystery, literary fiction, erotica, memoir, zines and 
 blogs in a freewheeling format.\n
