DESCRIPTION:The San Francisco Hall of Justice has just installed Japanese-American
paintings by Michelle Sakhai. \n\nFrom the age of two, Michelle was
traveling back and forth to Japan to visit her family. At the same time,
she grew up with her Persian family and community in New York. Having both
cultures in her young life impacted and influenced her perception and
artistic imagination. Initially, Sakhai was taught by Russian artist
Vladimir Terechtchenkov, while being enrolled in Japanese school, English
school, and Hebrew classes. \n\nMichelle Sakhai's paintings shown at the
Hall of Justice are influenced by Contemporary Japanese wood block prints
with the added inspiration of gold, silver, and copper leafing. \n\nWe
invite you to take a look at her work located at 850 Bryant San Francisco,
CA 94103. \n\nIf you would like to know more about Michelle Sakhai's
paintings, or would be interested in exhibiting her work, please take a
look at her website at www.michellesakhai.com or contact us via email at
 miskaistudios@gmail.com. \n
