 Fresno **\n\nWHAT: Beginning December 18th, 2011 on Alcatraz Island, The 
 Leonard Peltier Walk for Human Rights is a spiritual walk led by Dorothy 
 Ninham and her family to bring attention to the false imprisonment of 
 author, artist, human rights advocate, Indigenous activist and spiritual 
 Native elder Leonard Peltier. Leonard Peltier was a prominent member of the 
 American Indian Movement who was falsely accused and imprisoned for killing 
 two FBI agents in a 1975 shoot out at the Pine Ridge Reservation in Oglala, 
 South Dakota. \n\nLeonard Peltier is currently imprisoned at the Coleman 
 Federal Correction Complex in Florida with a release year of 2040. Because 
 of this, the walkers urge President Obama to provide an Executive Clemency 
 for Leonard Peltier. This walk also calls for HUMAN RIGHTS and FREEDOM for 
 all the oppressed, subjugated and falsely imprisoned freedom fighters like 
 Leonard Peltier around the world. \n\nThe Leonard Peltier Walk for Human 
 Rights plans to end May 18th, 2012 in Washington D.C. and will be making 
 various stops all around the United States, including Fresno California, to 
 gather support and spread awareness. \n\n**Any supplies, including food, 
 for the walkers will be greatly appreciated and accepted**\n\nOrganizers of 
 the Walk will be available for photos and interviews\n\nWHERE & When: 10 
 a.m. December 28th, 2011. Walkers will be meeting on the South West corner 
 of Blackstone and Shaw then will walk south bound on Blackstone ending at 
 the David of Sassoon Statue in Fresno County Courthouse Park on Tulare and
