DESCRIPTION:a reception with David and a live recording session.\nPlease come with your
questions and your checkbook.\n \nAs we approach International Human Rights
 Day,\nlet's support David's reporting and\nMaking Contact's work!\nDavid
Barsamian, award-winning journalist, founder and director of Alternative
Radio, was deported from India ("the world's largest democracy") on Sep
 23. It appears that New Delhi wants to prevent him from reporting on the
human rights situation in Kashmir, and the Indian government's pattern of
muzzling dissent.\n \nHe has traveled to India for some 40 years and had 3
weeks of interviews scheduled there and in Kashmir.\n \nDavid is back home
in the "world's second largest Democracy" and has resumed his busy editing
and radio production schedule. He's planning on a new book with Noam
Chomsky, and is continuing his work with Tariq Ali and Arundhati Roy.\n
\nLet's gather together in this historic moment and\nsupport David, Making
Contact, and each other.\n \nIf you are unable to attend please click to
donate and support the work of David Barsamian and Making Contact. Or send
a gift via mail to our address 1714 Franklin St. #100-251 Oakland, CA
 94612. Thank You!\n
