DESCRIPTION:Dear Fellow Human Banner Participant,\n\nTHANK you for registering for
Saturday's event! You may not be fully aware yet, but every single one of
you/us makes a huge difference, and it is never so apparent as when you see
the photos!\n\nAll event details are viewable at the "Event Details" link
at www.HumanBannerSF.com. When you arrive, please take a flyer from one of
the volunteers you will see.\n\nAnd please note these few additional items
 below:\n\nTARP / BLANKET\n\nThis is a small, last-minute, paranoid request,
and (for you veterans) has not been part of any of our past events: If you
can, please bring a tarp or blanket or something to lie on for every member
of your party. Ideally, these would be at least six feet tall and three
feet wide -- bright colors show up best. Tan (sand-colored) is the worst.
We're hoping for and expecting a crowd in the 700-800 range or higher, but
if we get something closer to the current number of registrants (499 right
now), we're going to do a bold outline of each letter and leave a
sand-colored stripe in its middle. If that's the case, we'll be positioning
each person rather exactly to achieve maximum "crispness." Our blankets and
tarps will come in very handy in marking out the borders of the lettering.
If we get a big crowd, this request won't make any
difference.\n\nVOLUNTEERS?\n\nI could use a few more people to show up
early in the morning to help etch the lettering in the sand. We'll be
starting at 7am. If you can come at that hour, please email me. Also, I'll
need volunteers later in the morning, starting about 10, to serve as
"letter captains" (some of you have done this in the past) and for a
variety of other tasks, too. So, if you can, please.\n\nBULLHORN?\n\nI've
got a small bullhorn. Anyone have a bigger one they can bring?\n\nINVITE
ANYONE YOU FEEL APPROPRIATE\n\nThe more the merrier--and the more
impressive the photos.\n\nAnd the basic details:\n\nSaturday. Human banner:
TAX THE 1% -- Ocean Beach, San Francisco. Please arrive in the vicinity by
10:45am. Pick a spot in the lettering by 11:15. HELICOPTER OVERHEAD at noon
sharp. Should all be over by 12:30. Complete details and PLEASE REGISTER at
HumanBannerSF.com. Please share this invite freely. Also: Facebook event
 page: http://www.facebook.com/event. php?eid=169101683178048 )\n\nSee you
soon.\n\nBrad Newsham (for Andrew, John, and the entire Other 98%
 team)\n\nnewsham@mac.com\n\n415-305-8294\n\n
