DESCRIPTION:On September 24, 2011 a labor protest will be held against a "kick-off"
rally of the San Francisco Labor Council and the union buster Sean
Elsbernd, billionaire Warren Hellman and the San Francisco Chamber Of
Commerce for Proposition C. This anti-labor measure will increase
retirement age for city workers, eliminated their COLA funding out of the
pension fund and allow SF City bosses to make large increases in the
retirement health system plan by packing the Health System Board with top
city cronies. It will mean a 12 to 14% cut in real wages for low paid city
workers while giving a break to those making over $100,000 a
year.\n\n\n\n9/24 SF Protest Against Anti-Public Worker Prop C And Union
 Busters-SFLC Latch-up\n\nSaturday September 24, 2011 10:00 AM\n762 Fulton
St. San Francisco\n\nSF City Retirees and employees plan a protest action
against Proposition C - the \nalleged "consensus" amendment put on the
ballot by billionaire Warren Hellman, \nthe Mayor and the Labor
bureaucrats. The event is happening at the \nLabor/Mayor's campaign kick
off for Prop C and against D on Sept 24th at \n762 Fulton St - 10:30 AM.
Retirees groups were not included in talks with \nlabor where their
benefits were reduced. Employee members are saying \nthat they had little
say in the process. Newsom supporter SF Supervisor\nSean Elsbernd has
pushed attacks on SF TWU 250 A Muni drivers and \nhas written this
anti-public worker public worker retiree prop C initiative. \nPublic
employees are being made scapegoats and blamed for the City's \nfiscal
deficits. Both Prop C and D protect the San Francisco wealthy at the
\nworker's expense. \nRetiree groups against Prop C and D are growing in
number. No on C and D groups include: \nSEIU 1021 West Bay Chapter, Protect
Our Benefits, RECCSF, SF Gray Panthers \nand others. Also against C and D
are opposed by the United Public Employees\n for Action UPWA and the Peace
and Freedom Party.\n \nFor more information please call: \nKay Walker -

communities. And our uniquely San Francisco coalition is hoping you’ll
join us as we kick off our campaign to save the city $1.3 billion over the
next 10 years.\n\nWill you join us at the official Yes on C, No on D
Campaign Kick-Off on Saturday, September 24th? Click here to RSVP for our
