DESCRIPTION:Farm workers will be marching for basic things that most of us take for
granted:\n\n * The opportunity to join a union free from intimidation
and threats. This majority sign up bill would give workers an alternative
to the current system--which grower fear tactics has turned into a mockery
 of democracy.\n \n * Overtime after 8 hours a day 40 hours a week,
just like other workers. As it is, farm workers don't get overtime until
after 10 hours a day, 60 hours a week\n\nBack in June, the Governor vetoed
the workers' "Fair Treatment for Farm Workers Act." Workers and legislators
vowed to put the issue back on the Governor's desk. And they are bringing
back in a big way with this historic 13 day march to Sacramento.\n\nPlease
help. California's blazing sun may have already claimed two farm worker
lives this year and summer is not over. Organizers bring back stories daily
about the lack of shade and water as well as the intense pressure from
supervisors that stops workers from taking their much needed breaks.\n\n
