DESCRIPTION:Move over Terry Gross, Michael Krasny, and the whole public radio
familywe've got a public dialogue of our own.\n\nComedian W. Kamau Bell
(The W Kamau Bell Curve, Laughter Against the Machine) and his friend and
sometime collaborator rapper / activist Boots Riley (The Coup, Street
Sweeper Social Club) will sit down and have a chat with each other about
their careers, their lives, their hopes and dreams, and whatever else they
can think of to talk about. Knowing these two, it will be raw, insightful,
profound, poignant, militant and most of all, hilarious. See two Bay Area
Bon Vivants who already know each other get to know each other even better.
Who doesn't want to see that?\n\nAll proceeds from this show will go to the
Laughter Against the Machine (W. Kamau Bell, Nato Green, and Janine Brito)
national tour and documentary. LATM will wade into the most polarized
quagmires in the US, the flashpoints of American ignorance and upheaval.
We're going to Phoenix, Chicago, Dearborn, Madison, Washington DC, New
Orleans, and wrapping up in Oakland. Like Doctors Without Borders, but with
jokes instead of penicillin, LATM roams the country bringing humor to the
people who need it the most.\n\nInfo about the Kickstarter campaign for the
 national tour is here:

 tour schedule is here:

door prizes!\n\nW. KAMAU BELL has been voted San Francisco's best comedian
by three publications. His stand-up album, Face Full of Flour, was named
one of the Top 10 Best Comedy Albums of 2010 by both iTunes and Punchline
Magazine. Kamau is best known for his critically-acclaimed solo show "The
 W. Kamau Bell Curve: Ending Racism in About an Hour," which he performs
across the country and just took to the Edinbugh Fringe Festival. Visit him
online at wkamaubell.com\n\nBOOTS RILEY is the frontman for the hip-hop
group The Coup and rock group Street Sweeper Social Club with Tom
 Morello.\n https://www.indybay.org/newsitems/2011/08/26/18688864.php
