 have probably already read, our CWA colleagues at Verizon East and Verizon 
 Wireless are on strike.\n\nSince bargaining began on June 22, Verizon has 
 refused to move from a long list of concession demands. Even as the 
 contract expired, Verizon, a $100 billion dollar company, still was looking 
 for $1 billion in concessions from 45,000 workers and families. That’s 
 about $20,000 in givebacks for every family.\n\nThis isn’t bargaining. 
 It’s Verizon Greed at its worst.\n\nWhile the bulk of the striking 
 workers are on the East Coast, it's important for the company to know that 
 this kind of behavior hurts their reputation nationwide.\n\nTomorrow we 
 will gather for a lunchtime picket:\n\nnoon-1 p.m.\nTuesday Aug. 9\noutside 
 Verizon Wireless\n768 Market Street\nSan Francisco\n\nFor reference, this 
 store is quite close to the downtown Apple retail store.\n\nWe need all the
