 Pride month commemorates the anniversary of the Stonewall Rebellion. On 
 June 28, 1969, the patrons of the New York City gay bar, the Stonewall Inn, 
 said NO to systematic intimidation. Rather than be bullied, they stood up 
 to the police raiding the establishment. The result was a night-long battle 
 between the gay community of Greenwich Village and the cops. This incident 
 quickly gave rise to mass organizing on the part of the Lesbian, Gay, Bi 
 and Transsexual communities across the country. The modern LGBT rights 
 movement was born!\n\nBut that struggle is far from over. The transgender 
 community, especially, continues to battle against the most virulent forms 
 of discrimination and harassment. The Party for Socialism and Liberation 
 invites you to a community forum to celebrate the birth of the Gay Rights 
 struggle and the prospects of the ongoing struggle for equality.2969
