 Food Service are FIGHTING BACK!\n\nI-House workers' are confronting UC's 
 future: contracting out, abuse of temporary workers, short-staffing, 
 workplace injuries! In 5 years, staffing has gone from more than 25 full 
 time career staff, to 10!\n\nManagement is still short-changing the staff 
 and students and refusing to stop hiring contractors, end the abuse of 
 temporary workers and post 8 career positions.\n\nThis action workers say 
 ya Basta! Enough is Enough! Chancellor Birgeneau will be attending the 
 I-House "Gala" -- workers will continue to press for their demand that he 
 walk a day in the shoes of a low-wage worker in HIS campus. Not at work,but 
 at home, to see what it really means to live on $25,000 a year.\n\ncall
