DESCRIPTION:Gang injunctions are a part of a new strategy of policing and prosecution
that promise to reduce gang violence and promote safety.\n\nBut some argue
that these strategies siphon money away from crucial community programs,
attack civil liberties, and increase racial profiling and police violence
on young black and brown men. \n\nJoin National Radio Project, producers of
Making Contact, for an engaging Community Discussion on Gang Injunctions
(in North Oakland and the Fruitvale neighborhoods.) \n\nSaturday, May 7th
 from 2:30-4:30pm.\n\nEastSide Arts Alliance\n\nWe’ll hear from:\n\n*
George Galvis, Communities United for Restorative Youth Justice\n*
Sagnitche Salazar, Stop the Injunction Coalition\n* Eric K. Arnold, Oakland
