 a Demonstration of Power\n\nGather at 6pm at 16th St. BART Station\n...\nOn 
 the evening of Friday, April 1, 2011, a young transgender woman was 
 violently attacked near the 16th and Mission BART station. Transgender and 
 gender non-conforming people, low-income and homeless people, immigrants, 
 people of color, young people, and women in our neighborhood face daily 
 harassment, violence, and profiling, and have fewer and fewer resources for 
 support. We must work together to stop the violence, heal, and reclaim our 
 neighborhood! \n\nSTAND UP FOR TRANSGENDER PEOPLE!\nWe are asking all 
 members of the Mission to come out and show your support for your 
 transgender neighbors and family.\n\nCREATE A SAFE PLACE!\nWe are asking 
 everyone who lives, work, and hangs out near 16th & Mission to look out for 
 one another and strengthen our community ties. \n\nDON’T CUT OUR LIVES 
 SHORT!\nWe are asking our public officials to end the budget cuts that are 
 taking away jobs, housing, education, services, and safe spaces for 
 transgender and other vulnerable communities in the Mission.\n\nSponsored

 Poder este Viernes \n15 de Abril\n\nNos juntamos a las 6pm at 16th St. en 
 la estación de BART\n\nLa noche del primero de Abril, una joven mujer 
 transgenero fué violentamente atacada en la esquina de 16th y Mission 
 junto a la estación del BART. Gente transgénero y no-conforme con el 
 género, gente de bajos ingresos, sin hogar, inmigrantes, gente de color, 
 jovenes y mujeres en nuestro barrio se enfrentan diariamente al acoso, la 
 violencia y el perfil de raza, y tenemos menos y menos recursos para 
 apoyarnos. Juntos tenemos que trabajar para poner alto a la violencia, 
 sanarnos, y reclamar un barrio seguro! \n\nLEVANTÉMONOS POR LA GENTE 
 TRANSGÉNERO!\nLe pedimos a todos los residentes de La Mission vengan y le 
 den su apoyo a sus vecinos, a la comunidad transgénero y a nuestras 
 familias.\n\nCONSTRUYÁMOS UN LUGAR SEGURO!\nPedimos a todos los que viven, 
 trabajan , y se pasean cerca de la 16th y Mission, a estar vigilantes para 
 fortalecer nuestros lazos comunitarios\n\nNO ACORTEN NUESTRAS VIDAS!\nLe
