 announcement of the Local National Writers Union, San Francisco Bay Area 
 Chapter/UAW Local 1981\n\nOn April 4, people from around the country will 
 gather in support of the National Day of Action, to show solidarity for the 
 rights of working people in the face of the latest corporate onslaught 
 against unions,labor and progressive causes.\n\nApril 4 is the anniversary 
 of Dr. Martin Luther King's assassination. Dr. King was killed in Memphis, 
 where he was supporting the efforts of the most invisible workers to 
 organize a union and win their rights. As you know he was also a giant in 
 the fight to win civil rights.\n\nIt is a fitting tribute to him that we 
 meet and show our solidarity together, and demonstrate in favor of our 
 labor rights along with people nationwide.\n
