DESCRIPTION:Shake hourglass. Sand dune is frozen in time. We like productivity,
especially in a garden, but don't forget there's something else at work.
You might not see it: a sand dune moves too slow to notice. A broken watch
is right twice a day. And plants get stepped on. We will walk to see
amazing plants hanging on for dear life in some of the last sandy areas
left in the city; weeds, and if we are lucky, the plants that have stopped
the grains of sand in this large hour glass known as San Francisco's sand
dunes. Bring your walking shoes and join GFE guest instructors Archie
Wessells and Michael Swaine on this eye-opening adventure. This workshop
is $15, although no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
Pre-registration is required. To pre-register or for more information
