 economic value for one reason only:  the growth of community. In an odd 
 twist of disturbing-the-bilious-left's-settled-analysis fate, it turns out 
 that hewing to the conservative position that "creation confers ownership" 
 is the ticket to all the social justice they could ever want. \n\nCommunity 
 creates land values, ergo land values belong to community.\n\nBut how much 
 of that truth do you get from the left? Not much. Instead, the shades of 
 Chris Daly and the silent sound alikes of Aaron Peskin fit and start about 
 the evils of free enterprise and the dangers of open markets in things made 
 by people, while letting most of nature-created land's value slip into 
 kingly pockets. Make no mistake, on the other side the Micheala Alioto 
 ditto-heads have nothing more in mind for the greater population than 
 crumbs from the 2nd District's table, which collects its land value rents
